Methodology
How prices, volume, market cap and rankings are computed from trades.
Price
The index price of an asset is the volume-weighted average of the last trade on every included market, converted to USD through the quote asset's own index price. Markets are included when the venue is connected, the pair is not excluded for integrity reasons, and the last print is recent. Stablecoin quotes are converted at their measured price, not assumed to be 1.
Volume
24h volume is the sum of trade sizes we received over a rolling 24 hours, in USD at the time of each trade, split into spot and derivatives. Markets flagged for wash-trading patterns, impossible spreads or duplicated feeds are excluded and listed with the reason.
Market cap and supply
Market cap is index price × circulating supply. Circulating supply is verified on-chain where possible; unverifiable supply figures are marked. Fully diluted valuation uses max supply when it exists, otherwise total supply.
Rankings and indicators
Coins rank by market cap; exchanges by measured volume with a score for liquidity, volume, integrity, uptime and transparency. Fear & Greed combines momentum, volatility, volume, dominance and breadth from the index. Liquidations are the forced-close prints streamed from derivatives venues.
Reference data
ETF flows come from fund disclosures; coin metadata (descriptions, links, contracts) is maintained with public sources. These are labelled reference wherever they appear.
